हनूमद्-दूत्यम् / Hanuman’s Mediation and Lakshmana’s Appeal to Sugriva
इत्येवमुक्त्वा हनुमान् श्लक्ष्णं मधुरया गिरा।बभाषे सोऽभिगच्छेम सुग्रीवमिति राघवम्।।
ity evam uktvā hanumān ślakṣṇaṃ madhurayā girā | babhāṣe so 'bhigacchema sugrīvam iti rāghavam ||
Having spoken thus, Hanumān, in gentle and sweet words, said to Rāghava: “Let us go and approach Sugrīva.”
Hanuman, having spoken with sweet, gentle words said to the Raghavas, 'We will now go to Sugriva'.
Dharma includes maryādā in communication and action: gentle, respectful speech that leads to constructive steps and rightful alliance.
After reassuring them, Hanumān proposes the immediate next action—going to meet Sugrīva.
