हनूमद्-दूत्यम् / Hanuman’s Mediation and Lakshmana’s Appeal to Sugriva
करिष्यति स साहाय्यं युवयोर्भास्करात्मजः।सुग्रीवस्सह चास्माभि स्सीतायाः परिमार्गणे।।
kariṣyati sa sāhāyyaṃ yuvayor bhāskarātmajaḥ | sugrīvaḥ saha cāsmābhiḥ sītāyāḥ parimārgaṇe ||
Sugrīva, the son of the Sun, will render help to you both; together with us he will aid in the search for Sītā.
'Sugriva, son of the Sun-god, along with us will extend all help to you, in your search for Sita.'
Dharma as mutual aid: righteous alliance forms when each side supports the other in a just cause—here, the search for Sītā.
Hanumān assures Rāma–Lakṣmaṇa that Sugrīva will actively assist in locating Sītā.
Sugrīva’s readiness to help (sāhāyya) and Hanumān’s reliability as a messenger.
