Thus addressed, Sugriva spoke to Rama: “My lost prosperity and fame—and even this enduring sovereignty over the vanaras—have been regained by me only through your favor, O mighty-armed one.”
On hearing this, Sugriva said to Rama,'O long-armed one the fortune, fame and soverignty of vanaras which was lost has been regained only by your grace.
Dharma is gratitude grounded in truth (satya): one should acknowledge benefaction honestly and recognize the rightful cause of one’s restoration and success.
Sugriva responds to Rama’s prompt to act, first affirming that his regained fortune, reputation, and kingship came through Rama’s help.
Kṛtajñatā (gratitude) and humility—Sugriva openly credits Rama rather than claiming the victory as his own.
