तारोपदेशः — Tara’s Counsel to Lakshmana (Restraint, Time, and Mobilization)
तथा ब्रुवाणं सौमित्रिं प्रदीप्तमिव तेजसा।अब्रवील्लक्ष्मणं तारा ताराधिपनिभानना।।।।
tathā bruvāṇaṃ saumitriṃ pradīptam iva tejasā |
abravīl lakṣmaṇaṃ tārā tārādhipanibhānanā ||
As Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa) spoke, blazing as though with fiery splendor, Tārā—moon-faced like the lord of stars—addressed Lakṣmaṇa.
While Lakshmana, the son of Sumitra, was glowing like fire with his brilliance, thus spoke the moon-faced Tara:
When anger flares in a righteous person, wise counsel should intervene to restore proportion and protect dharma from turning into excess.
After Lakṣmaṇa’s harsh rebuke, Tārā steps forward to pacify him and to explain Sugrīva’s position.
Prudence and mediation—Tārā’s capacity to speak calmly amid a volatile confrontation.
