किष्किन्धाकाण्डे द्वात्रिंशः सर्गः — Lakshmana’s Anger Reported; Hanuman Advises Propitiation and Timely Mobilization
न मे दुर्व्याहृतं किञ्चिन्नापि मे दुरनुष्ठितम्।लक्ष्मणो राघवभ्राता क्रुद्धः किमिति चिन्तये।।
na khalv asti mama trāso lakṣmaṇān nāpi rāghavāt | mitraṃ tv asthāna-kupitaṃ janayaty eva sambhramam ||
Truly, I do not fear Lakṣmaṇa, nor even Rāma; yet when a friend grows angry without proper cause, it surely gives rise to confusion and anxiety.
'Indeed I have not uttered any harsh word or done anything wrong. I, therefore, wonder why Rama's brother, Lakshmana is angry with me?
Even when one is not physically threatened, dharma values harmony in alliances; unjustified anger in relationships is itself a danger to order and truth.
Sugriva frames the crisis as relational: Lakṣmaṇa’s anger threatens the stability of friendship with Rāma.
