किष्किन्धाकाण्डे द्वात्रिंशः सर्गः — Lakshmana’s Anger Reported; Hanuman Advises Propitiation and Timely Mobilization
सचिवानब्रवीद्वाक्यं निश्चित्य गुरुलाघवम्।मन्त्रज्ञान्मन्त्रकुशलो मन्त्रेषु परिनिष्ठितान्।।
abhikruddhaḥ samartho hi cāpam udyamya rāghavaḥ | sa-devāsura-gandharvaṃ vaśe sthāpayituṃ jagat ||
For if Rāghava becomes truly enraged and lifts his bow, he is capable of bringing the whole world—gods, asuras, and gandharvas included—under his control.
Sugriva, being skilled in secret assessment of matters, considering the merits and demerits, spoke to his council of ministers capable of intelligent counselling:
Power must be respected when aligned with dharma: breaking promises to a righteous protector invites grave consequences; therefore one should uphold satya and obligations.
Tārā warns Sugrīva that Rāma’s righteous wrath is formidable; this is meant to prevent escalation and compel immediate fulfillment of the pact.
Rāma’s controlled might—immense power held in service of dharma, becoming fearsome only when justice is obstructed.
