लक्ष्मणक्रोधः सुग्रीवप्रबोधनं च (Lakshmana’s Wrath and the Summoning of Sugriva)
संङ्गृह्य पादौ पितुरग्र्यतेजाःजग्राह मातुः पुनरेव पादौ।पादौ रुमायाश्च निपीडयित्वानिवेदयामास ततस्तमर्थम्।।
saṅgṛhya pādau pitur agryatejāḥ jagrāha mātuḥ punar eva pādau | pādau rumāyāś ca nipīḍayitvā nivedayāmāsa tatas tam artham ||
The radiant Angada clasped his father’s feet, then again took his mother’s feet; pressing also Ruma’s feet in reverence, he then reported the matter.
Highly brilliant Angada holding his father's feet first, then mother's and thereafter Ruma's, reported the matter to Sugriva.
Dharma is reverence and truthful reporting: Angada honors elders and authority before delivering urgent news, aligning conduct with social and moral order.
Angada formally approaches the royal household and then delivers Lakshmana’s message.
Respect (vinaya) and reliability—he behaves as a proper prince and messenger.
