कुरुष्व सत्यं मयि वानरेश्वरप्रतिश्रुतं धर्ममवेक्ष्य शाश्वतम्।मा वालिनं प्रेत्य गतो यमक्षयंत्वमद्य पश्येर्मम चोदितैश्शरैः।।

Transliteration

kuruṣva satyaṃ mayi vānarēśvara |

pratiśrutaṃ dharmam avekṣya śāśvatam |

mā vālinam pretya gato yamakṣayaṃ |

tvam adya paśyer mama coditaiḥ śaraiḥ ||

Translation

Fulfil your truth to me, O lord of the Vānaras; honour your promise, regarding it as eternal dharma. Do not, struck down today by arrows loosed by me, go to Yama’s realm and behold Vālī there.

'O lord of monkeys! Carry out the promise you made to me, consider it to be eternal dharma. Slain by my arrows, you will see Vali in the abode of the lord of death.'
