हनूमता सुग्रीवस्य कालधर्मोपदेशः — Hanuman’s Counsel on Timely Ally-Duty
शक्तिमानपिविक्रान्तो वानरर्क्षगणेश्वर।कर्तुं दाशरथेः प्रीतिमाज्ञायां किन्न सज्जसे।।
śaktimān api vikrānto vānararkṣagaṇeśvara |
kartuṃ dāśaratheḥ prītim ājñāyāṃ kiṃ na sajjase ||
O lord of the hosts of monkeys and bears, though you are mighty and valiant, why do you not make ready your command, so that Daśaratha’s son may be satisfied?
'O protector of the monkeys, you are powerful and you are prompt. Why don't you issue orders which will please Rama?
Power and position are meaningful only when used to fulfill one’s obligations. Leadership dharma requires timely decisions and clear commands for the common mission.
Hanuman urges Sugriva to stop delaying and to mobilize the forces by issuing orders to aid Rama.
