Even as you have spoken, O king: before long the Lord of the Vānaras will accomplish all that you desire. Stand steadfast for the subduing of the foe, and—awaiting autumn—endure this season of cascading waters.
Sinless Rama, the delight of the Raghus made an agreement with Sugriva and then spoke appropriately to Lakshmana, his obedient brother and enhancer of glory:
Dharma is patience grounded in trust and truth: Lakṣmaṇa urges Rāma to endure seasonal obstacles while remaining resolute in the righteous goal of defeating adharma.
Lakṣmaṇa reassures Rāma that Sugrīva will soon act and asks him to tolerate the monsoon’s torrents until autumn enables action.
Lakṣmaṇa’s steady reassurance and practical wisdom—supporting Rāma with confidence, restraint, and strategic clarity.
