O Rāghava, you are known in the world as one devoted to action; you are devoted to the gods—faithful, righteous in conduct, and steadfast in enterprise.
'O Rama you are a man of action, enterprising. You are godfearing, righteous and religious. You will not be able to kill a crooked enemy in a battle, especially a demon, with your valour if you make no endeavour.
Dharma is presented as integrity in action: devotion, faith, and righteous character must express themselves through decisive effort, not passivity.
Lakṣmaṇa reminds Rāma of his established nature—active, devout, and resolute—to draw him out of despair.
Righteous leadership: action guided by dharma and devotion (not impulsive violence or despair).
