Shloka 4.27.32

प्रस्रवणगिरिवासवर्णनम् (Residence on Mount Prasravana; Counsel during the Rains)

आविवेश न तं निद्रा निशासु शयनं गतम्।तत्समुत्थेन शोकेन बाष्पोपहतचेतसम्4.27.32।।

tasya śailasya śikhare mahatīm āyatāṃ guhām | pratyagṛhṇata vāsārthaṃ rāmaḥ saumitriṇā saha || 4.27.4 ||

On the summit of that mountain, Rāma, together with Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa), chose as their dwelling a great and spacious cave.

As Rama lay in bed, at night, his grief rose and choked him with tears.

Dharma here is endurance and disciplined living: even in hardship, Rāma follows the conduct of exile with restraint, choosing a simple dwelling rather than comfort.

Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa settle on a mountain, taking shelter in a cave as they continue the search for Sītā and await the next course of action.

Steadfastness (dhṛti) and self-control—accepting austere conditions without abandoning purpose.
