वालिनः और्ध्वदैहिकम् — Vali’s Funeral Rites and the Consolation of the Bereaved
त्वं तार शिबिकां शीघ्रमादायागच्छ सम्भ्रमात्।त्वरा गुणवती युक्ता ह्यस्मिन्काले विशेषतः4.25.17।।
tvaṃ tāra śibikāṃ śīghram ādāyāgaccha sambhramāt |
tvarā guṇavatī yuktā hy asmin kāle viśeṣataḥ || 4.25.17 ||
Tārā, quickly bring the palanquin at once and come in haste; at this time, swift action—well-directed and properly arranged—is especially fitting.
'O Tara! quickly get a swift-moving litter fastened with ropes specially suitable for this occasion.
Timely performance of duty: in rites and public moments, prompt and orderly action is itself a form of respect and righteousness.
Lakṣmaṇa instructs Tārā to arrange a litter for transporting Vāli’s body for cremation.
Tārā’s competence and composure—supporting necessary rites despite personal sorrow.
