ताराविलापः (Tārā’s Lament over Vāli)

एवमुक्तस्समुत्थाय जग्राह चरणौ पितुः।भुजाभ्यां पीनवृत्ताभ्यामङ्गदोऽहमिति ब्रुवन्।।

Transliteration

evam uktaḥ samutthāya jagrāha caraṇau pituḥ | bhujābhyāṃ pīnavṛttābhyām aṅgado 'ham iti bruvan ||

Translation

Thus instructed, Aṅgada rose up and clasped his father’s feet with his strong, rounded arms, saying, “I am Aṅgada.”

Thus advised by Tara, Angada got up, clasped his father's feet with his stout arms, and saluted, saying, 'I am Angada.'
