Vālī is intelligent in his undertakings, and kings are far-seeing; they become destroyers of foes through stratagems—such designs must be recognized even by ordinary men.
'Vali is wise in his actions. Kings employ many strategies to annihilate their enemies. Our gullible individuals should be able to detect them.

Sugrīva explains Vālī’s strategic capability and cautions that even common followers must learn to detect hostile designs.
Strategic awareness (nīti-jñāna) balanced with moral responsibility.
