तारोपदेशः — Tara’s Counsel to Vali on Sugriva’s Roar and Rama’s Alliance
तं तु तारा परिष्वज्य स्नेहाद्दर्शितसौहृदाः।उवाच त्रस्तसम्भ्रान्ता हितोदर्कमिदं वचः।।
taṃ tu tārā pariṣvajya snehād darśita-sauhṛdāḥ | uvāca trasta-sambhrāntā hitodarkam idaṃ vacaḥ ||
But Tārā, showing her affection and faithful goodwill, embraced him; anxious and shaken with fear, she spoke these words of prudent counsel.
Tara, perplexed out of fear, glanced at Vali lovingly, embraced him and gave him wise counsel:
Dharma includes giving timely, compassionate counsel—especially when a loved one is about to act from anger rather than judgment.
As Vāli rushes out to fight, Tārā stops him physically and prepares to advise him.
Tārā’s prudence and loyal care: affection combined with clear-sighted guidance.
