तारोपदेशः — Tara’s Counsel to Vali on Sugriva’s Roar and Rama’s Alliance

नासहायमहं मन्ये सुग्रीवं तमिहागतम्।अवष्टब्धसहायश्च यमाश्रित्यैष गर्जति।।

Transliteration

nāsahāyam ahaṃ manye sugrīvaṃ tam ihāgatam |

avaṣṭabdha-sahāyaś ca yam āśrityaiṣa garjati || 4.15.13 ||

Translation

I do not think Sugrīva has come here without help; surely he has secured a supporter—taking refuge in him, he now roars forth his challenge.

'Certainly Sugriva has not come here to give a war-cry without any external help. Theperson whose refuge he has sought is not a small one.
