पम्पा-तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
मयि भावस्तु वैदेह्यास्तत्त्वतो विनिवेशितः।ममापि भावस्सीतायां सर्वथा विनिवेशितः।।।।
mayi bhāvas tu vaidehyās tattvato viniveśitaḥ | mamāpi bhāvaḥ sītāyāṃ sarvathā viniveśitaḥ ||
Vaidehī’s love is truly fixed upon me; and my love too is, in every way, firmly fixed upon Sītā.
'Sita has her love truly fixed in me. My love for her is equally steadfast.
Satya (truthfulness) in relationships: Rama asserts the genuine, unwavering fidelity between husband and wife, presenting steadfast commitment as a dharmic ideal.
In Kishkindha, at Pampa in springtime, Rama speaks to Lakshmana while grieving Sita’s separation, affirming their mutual devotion.
Niṣṭhā (steadfastness) and pativratā/patidharma-oriented fidelity—Rama’s unwavering commitment to Sita and Sita’s unwavering love for Rama.
