पम्पा-तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
यदि यातिदितेर्गर्भं रावणस्सह सीतया।तत्राप्येनं हनिष्यामि न चेद्दास्यति मैथिलीम्।।।।
yadi yāti diter garbhaṃ rāvaṇas saha sītayā | tatrāpy enaṃ haniṣyāmi na ced dāsyati maithilīm ||
Even if Ravana were to enter the womb of Diti together with Sita, I would slay him even there—if he does not give back Maithili.
'Even if Ravana enters into the womb of Diti (mother of demons) along with Sita, I willslay him there if he does not return the daughter of Mithila.

Lakshmana intensifies his assurance to Rama, declaring that no refuge—mythic or cosmic—will protect Ravana if he refuses to return Sita.
