गच्छ लक्ष्मण पश्य त्वं भरतं भ्रातृवत्सलम्।न ह्यहं जीवितु शक्तस्तामृते जनकात्मजाम्।।।।

Transliteration

gaccha lakṣmaṇa paśya tvaṃ bharataṃ bhrātṛvatsalam | na hy ahaṃ jīvituṃ śaktas tām ṛte janakātmajām ||

Translation

Go, Lakshmana—go and see Bharata, who is devoted to his brothers. For I am not able to live without Janaka’s daughter.

'You may go to Ayodhya, O Lakshmana, to see our loving brother, Bharata. It is not possible for me to survive without the daughter of Janaka'.
