Shloka 1.70.41

वंशवर्णनम् तथा विवाहप्रार्थना — Genealogy of the Ikshvaku Line and the Proposal for Marriage

सुदर्शन: शङ्घणस्य अग्निवर्ण स्सुदर्शनात्।।1.70.40।।शीघ्रगस्त्वग्निवर्णस्य शीघ्रगस्य मरु स्सुत:।मरो: प्रशुश्रुकस्त्वासीदम्बरीष: प्रशुश्रृकात्।।1.70.41।।

ambarīṣasya putro 'bhūn nahuṣaḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ | nahuṣasya yayātis tu nābhāgas tu yayātijaḥ || 1.70.42 ||

Ambarīṣa’s son was King Nahuṣa, ruler of the earth. Nahuṣa’s son was Yayāti, and Yayāti’s son was Nābhāga.

Sudarsana was the son of Samkhana. His son was Agnivarna. To Agnivarna was born Sighraga and to Sighraga, Maru. To Maru, was born Prasusruka and to Prasrusuka, Ambarisha.
