विश्वामित्रस्य ब्राह्मर्षित्वप्राप्तिः — Viśvāmitra Attains Brahmarṣi Status
प्रकम्पते च पृथिवी वायुर्वाति भृशाकुल:।बृह्मन्न प्रतिजानीमोनास्तिको जायते जन:।।।।
prakampate ca pṛthivī vāyur vāti bhṛśākulaḥ | brahman na pratijānīmo nāstiko jāyate janaḥ ||
The earth trembles and the wind blows in violent agitation. O Brahman, we do not know what to do—people are turning into unbelievers.
O Brahma! the earth trembles. The wind blows fiercely. The people have ceased to believe in God. We do not know the way out.
Dharma is linked to social faith and moral order: when the world is destabilized, people lose confidence in the divine order, weakening satya and dharma in society.
The gods appeal to Brahma, describing natural upheavals and the collapse of public faith caused by the crisis around Viśvāmitra’s tapas.
