“You have destroyed an āśrama that had grown and flourished over a long time. Therefore your conduct is wicked, O fool; hence you shall not endure—you shall not survive.”
"O Fool! this hermitage has been developed over a long time. Why did you destroy it? On account of your wickedness you will not live long."
Dharma holds one accountable for violating sacred institutions and harming the innocent; wrongful destruction invites consequences, and moral order asserts itself.
Vasiṣṭha rebukes Viśvāmitra for destroying the long-established hermitage and pronounces a dire consequence.
Upholding moral law with clarity and fearlessness—Vasiṣṭha’s commitment to protecting dharmic life and condemning adharma.
