कामधेनुसैन्यप्रादुर्भावः — Kamadhenu’s Forces, Visvamitra’s Austerities, and Vasishta’s Wrath
तव प्रसादाद्भवतु देवदेवममेप्सितम्।एवमस्त्विति देवेशो वाक्यमुक्त्वा गतस्तदा।।1.55.18।।
tava prasādād bhavatu devadeva mam epsitam | evam astv iti deveśo vākyam uktvā gatas tadā || 1.55.18 ||
“O God of gods, by your grace let my desire be fulfilled.” Saying, “So be it,” the Lord of the gods spoke and then departed.
O Lord of the gods! by your favour let my desire be fulfilled. Lord Mahadeva having said: 'Be it so' vanished.
Divine grace responds to disciplined effort and truthful petition; the granting of a boon also implies accountability—what is received must be used in alignment with dharma.
Viśvāmitra asks that his wish be fulfilled; Śiva consents with “evam astu” and departs, indicating the boon is granted.
Devotion and reverent dependence on divine sanction rather than mere personal force.
