वसिष्ठ-आतिथ्यं (Vasiṣṭha’s Hospitality to Viśvāmitra and the Summoning of Śabalā/Kāmadhenu)
कृत्वोभौ सुचिरं कालं धर्मिष्ठौ ता: कथा: शुभा:।मुदा परमया युक्तौ प्रीयेतां तौ परस्परम्।।।।
kṛtvobhau suciraṃ kālaṃ dharmiṣṭhau tāḥ kathāḥ śubhāḥ | mudā paramayā yuktau prīyetāṃ tau parasparam ||
Those two righteous men spent a long time in auspicious conversation, filled with supreme joy and mutually pleased with one another.
Both the righteous personalities dwelt at length on various matters and interesting anecdotes with great delight and derived mutual pleasure.
Dharma is supported by sādhusaṅga—righteous people strengthen harmony through auspicious and respectful dialogue.
Viśvāmitra and Vasiṣṭha converse at length, enjoying a cordial exchange.
Mutual respect and goodwill (paraspara-prīti) between two eminent dhārmic figures.
