अहल्याशापवर्णनम् (The Account of Ahalyā’s Curse and the Deserted Hermitage near Mithilā)
तच्छ्रुत्वा राघवेणोक्तं वाक्यं वाक्यविशारद:।।।।प्रत्युवाच महातेजा विश्वामित्रो महामुनि:।
tac chrutvā rāghaveṇoktaṃ vākyaṃ vākyaviśāradaḥ || pratyuvāca mahātejā viśvāmitro mahāmuniḥ |
Hearing Rāghava’s words, the great sage Viśvāmitra—eloquent and radiant—replied to him.
Eloquent and brilliant Viswamitra, replied to the descendant of the Raghus saying:
Dharma includes transmitting knowledge responsibly: the sage responds to sincere inquiry, indicating that truth is preserved and shared through competent speech and teaching.
After Rāma’s question about the deserted hermitage, Viśvāmitra prepares to explain its history.
Viśvāmitra’s authority and clarity—he is portrayed as both spiritually powerful and articulate, fit to convey sacred history truthfully.
