विशालानगरीप्रवेशः
Entry toward Viśālā and the Indra–Kṣīrodamathana Legend
एवमुक्तस्ततो देवैर्देवदेवेश्वर: प्रभु:।प्रादुरासीत्ततोऽत्रैव शङ्खचक्रधरो हरि:।।।।
evam uktas tato devair devadeveśvaraḥ prabhuḥ | prādurāsīt tato 'traiva śaṅkhacakradharo hariḥ ||
Thus addressed by the gods, the Lord—the Overlord of the gods—appeared there itself: Hari, bearing the conch and the discus.
Thereupon, Hari the Lord of celestial beings extolled by the devatas appeared bearing the conch and discus.
Dharma is upheld through timely protection: when beings appeal rightly, the preserver responds to restore balance.
In response to the gods’ plea, Hari (Viṣṇu) manifests, identifiable by conch and discus.
Compassionate guardianship: the divine role of preserving the world when it faces destruction.
