सगरयज्ञाश्वहरणम् — The Stolen Sacrificial Horse of Sagara
विश्वामित्रवचश्श्रुत्वा कथाऽन्ते रघुनन्दन:।उवाच परमप्रीतो मुनिं दीप्तमिवानलम्।।1.39.1।।
viśvāmitravacaḥ śrutvā kathānte raghunandanaḥ | uvāca paramaprīto muniṃ dīptam ivānalam ||
Having heard Viśvāmitra’s words, at the close of the account Raghunandana (Rāma), greatly delighted, spoke to the sage, blazing like fire.
Immensely pleased with the words of Viswamitra, to the ascetic flaming bright like fire, Rama spoke towards the end of the narration:
Dharma is reflected in attentive listening and respectful inquiry: Rāma receives instruction with joy and then responds appropriately to the teacher-sage.
The narration transitions from Viśvāmitra’s story to Rāma’s response at its conclusion.
Śraddhā and receptivity—Rāma’s delighted engagement with sacred history and his reverence toward Viśvāmitra.
