सिद्धाश्रम-प्रसङ्गः (Siddhashrama and the Vāmana Narrative)
बलेस्तु यजमानस्य देवास्साग्निपुरोगमा:।समागम्य स्वयं चैव विष्णुमूचुरिहाश्रमे।।1.29.6।।
bales tu yajamānasya devāḥ sāgnipurogamāḥ |
samāgamya svayaṃ caiva viṣṇum ūcur ihāśrame ||1.29.6||
Now, while Bali was officiating as the sacrificer, the gods—led by Agni—gathered together and, in this hermitage, personally addressed Viṣṇu.
"While Bali was performing the sacrifice (to confirm his position as lord of the three worlds), the devas got together with Agni in the forefront and approached Lord Visnuat this hermitage, saying:
Dharma is protected through collective responsibility: when order is disturbed, the devas seek restoration not by vengeance but by appealing to Viṣṇu, the preserver of balance.
During Bali’s sacrificial rite, the devas assemble and approach Viṣṇu at the hermitage to request help.
Humility and reliance on rightful means—rather than unilateral force, the devas seek redress through supplication to Viṣṇu.
