ताटकावधः (The Slaying of Tāṭakā)
ततस्तावश्मवर्षेण कीर्यमाणौ समन्तत:।।1.26.20।।दृष्ट्वा गाधिसुतश्श्रीमानिदं वचनमब्रवीत्।
tatas tāv aśmavarṣeṇa kīryamāṇau samantataḥ | dṛṣṭvā gādhisutaḥ śrīmān idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||1.26.20||
Then, seeing those two being covered on all sides by the rain of stones, the illustrious son of Gadhi spoke these words.
On seeing them hit and thrown about by a rain of stones from all sides, the auspicious son of Gadhi, (Viswamitra) spoke these words:
Dharma is supported by wise counsel at the right time; the teacher intervenes to ensure the righteous act is completed effectively.
As Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa face a renewed stone-rain attack, Viśvāmitra prepares to instruct Rāma decisively.
Viśvāmitra’s vigilance and responsibility as guide—protecting the mission and directing action.
