पायसप्रादुर्भावः — The Manifestation of the Divine Payasa and the Avatara Resolution
एवं पितामहात्तस्माद्वरं प्राप्य स दर्पित:।।1.16.6।।उत्सादयति लोकान्त्रीन् स्त्रियश्चाप्यपकर्षति ।तस्मात्तस्य वधो दृष्टो मानुषेभ्य: परन्तप।।1.16.7।।
tatas tu rājā prasamīkṣya tāḥ striyaḥ prarūḍha-garbhāḥ pratilabdha-mānasaḥ | babhūva hṛṣṭas tridive yathā hariḥ surendra-siddharṣi-gaṇābhipūjitaḥ ||
Then the king, seeing his wives with their pregnancies firmly established, regained peace of mind and became joyful—like Hari (Viṣṇu) in the heavenly Tridiva, worshipped by Indra and by hosts of siddhas and seers.
Having obtained the boon from Brahma, Ravana, greed and arrogant went on bringing destruction to the three worlds. He carried away women by violence. O destroyer of foes his death is possible by men only."
A ruler’s personal joy is harmonized with public duty: the prospect of heirs promises stability, continuity, and protection of the realm—key aims of rāja-dharma.
Daśaratha sees the queens pregnant and feels relief and happiness, marking the success of the rite and the coming births.
Composure and grateful rejoicing—his mind steadies (pratilabdha-mānasaḥ) as hope becomes assured.
