Covered with cloth and adorned with flowers and fragrant unguents, those posts shone with brilliant splendor—like the radiant Seven Ṛṣis gleaming in the sky.
Decorated with flowers and sandal paste and covered with cloths, stood the bright sacrificial posts shining like seven sages in the sky.
Dharma includes honoring the sacred through purity and beauty; outer order (clean adornment) mirrors inner reverence and truthful intent in worship.
The prepared sacrificial posts are now fully decorated, and the scene is described with a celestial simile.
Reverence (śraddhā) expressed through careful, pure preparation for sacred work.
