Shloka 1.14.22

अश्वमेधप्रवृत्तिः — Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha

कारितास्सर्व एवैते शास्त्रज्ञैर्यज्ञकोविदै:।शोभार्थं तस्य यज्ञस्य काञ्चनालङ्कृताऽभवन्।।।।

kāritāḥ sarva evaite śāstrajñair yajñakovidaiḥ | śobhārthaṃ tasya yajñasya kāñcanālaṅkṛtā abhavan || 1.14.22 ||

All these arrangements were made by experts—knowers of the śāstras and skilled in yajña-performance—and, to enhance the splendour of that sacrifice, they were adorned with gold.

All these posts were prepared by knowers of sastras and by those well-versed in the performance of sacrifices. They were decorated with gold to add elegance to the sacrifice.
