Shloka 1.10.25

ऋश्यशृङ्ग-आनयनम् (Bringing Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Aṅga and His Marriage to Śāntā)

दृष्ट्वैव च तास्तदा विप्रमायान्तं हृष्टमानसा:।उपसृत्य ततस्सर्वास्तास्तमूचुरिदं वच:।।।।

dṛṣṭvaiva ca tās tadā vipram āyāntaṃ hṛṣṭamānasāḥ |

upasṛtya tatas sarvās tās tam ūcur idaṃ vacaḥ ||

As soon as they saw the brāhmaṇa approaching, they became glad at heart; then all of them went up to him and spoke these words.

All of them were rejoiced on seeing the brahmin approaching them, came nearer to him and said:

Ṛśyaśṛṅga (vipra)

It underscores how influence operates through welcome and affirmation; dharma requires discernment about company (saṅga) and motives behind friendliness.

The women notice Ṛśyaśṛṅga returning and, pleased that their plan is working, approach him to continue persuading him.
