श्रीमद्रामायणकथासङ्क्षेपः / The Ramayana in Synopsis (Narada’s Summary to Valmiki)
प्रहृष्टमुदितो लोकस्तुष्ट: पुष्टस्सुधार्मिक: ।निरामयो ह्यरोगश्च दुर्भिक्षभयवर्जित: ।।।।
prahṛṣṭamudito lokas tuṣṭaḥ puṣṭaḥ sudhārmikaḥ |
nirāmayō hyarogaś ca durbhikṣabhayavarjitaḥ ||
In Rāma’s realm the people were joyful and uplifted, content and strengthened, firmly established in righteousness; free from suffering and disease, and untouched by the fear of famine.
The entire world rejoiced with happiness with their desire fulfilled they were content. All people were following the path of righteousness. There was no fear of sufferings or agonies, diseases or famine.
Righteous rule (rājadharma) produces public welfare: when governance aligns with dharma, society becomes content, healthy, and secure.
Nārada continues summarizing the outcomes of Rāma’s reign, describing the ideal social conditions associated with dharmic kingship.
