श्रीमद्रामायणकथासङ्क्षेपः / The Ramayana in Synopsis (Narada’s Summary to Valmiki)
सोऽधिगम्य महात्मानं कृत्वा रामं प्रदक्षिणम् ।न्यवेदयदमेयात्मा दृष्टा सीतेति तत्त्वत: ।।।।
tataḥ sugrīvasahito gatvā tīraṃ mahodadheḥ |
samudraṃ kṣobhayāmāsa śarair ādityasannibhaiḥ ||
Then Rāma, together with Sugrīva, reached the shore of the great ocean and stirred the Sea-god with arrows blazing like the sun.
Reaching Rama the great Hanuman gifted with boundless intellect circumambulated him and infact informed him that he had seen Sita.
Kṣātra-dharma (royal duty) includes firm resolve against obstacles when a righteous objective is blocked; force is invoked to compel a response from a powerful entity.
Preparing to cross to Laṅkā, Rāma arrives at the ocean and pressures Samudra to provide a way by shooting blazing arrows.
Rāma’s determination and commanding leadership in pursuit of a dharmic goal (rescuing Sītā).
