श्रीमद्रामायणकथासङ्क्षेपः / The Ramayana in Synopsis (Narada’s Summary to Valmiki)
ततो गृध्रस्य वचनात्सम्पातेर्हनुमान्बली।शतयोजनविस्तीर्णं पुप्लुवे लवणार्णवम्।।।।
tato gṛdhrasya vacanāt sampāter hanumān balī |
śatayojanavistīrṇaṃ pupluve lavaṇārṇavam ||
Then, heeding the counsel of the vulture Sampāti, the mighty Hanumān leapt across the salt ocean, vast as a hundred yojanas.
At the suggestion of the vulture, Sampathi mighty Hanuman leapt over the salt-ocean extending over a hundred yojanas.
Dharma is fulfilled through courageous service guided by wise counsel—Hanumān acts not impulsively, but in accordance with helpful guidance to accomplish a righteous mission.
Sampāti’s information enables the search party to know Sītā’s location, and Hanumān undertakes the decisive leap across the ocean toward Laṅkā.
Hanumān’s vīrya (valor) and readiness for selfless service, paired with receptivity to wise advice.
