बहवो दुर्लभाश्चैव ये त्वया कीर्तिता गुणा: ।मुने वक्ष्याम्यहं बुद्ध्वा तैर्युक्तश्श्रूयतान्नर: ।।।।
tataḥ sugrīva-vacanād hatvā vālinam āhave |
sugrīvam eva tad-rājye rāghavaḥ pratyapādayat ||
Thereafter, at Sugrīva’s request, Rāghava slew Vāli in battle and established Sugrīva himself as king in that realm.
"O sage rare indeed are men endowed with the many qualities you have described. I ascertained one. Listen carefully.
Dharma is portrayed as restoration of rightful order after conflict: power is not seized for oneself but placed where it is due, aligning action with pledged purpose and social stability.
After Vāli’s death, Rāma completes the alliance’s aim by enthroning Sugrīva in the kingdom, formalizing the new political order at Kiṣkindhā.
Rāma’s integrity and governance-mindedness—he ensures the outcome is institutional (rightful kingship), not merely personal victory; Sugrīva’s legitimacy is affirmed through formal installation.
