श्रीमद्रामायणकथासङ्क्षेपः / The Ramayana in Synopsis (Narada’s Summary to Valmiki)
ततो वानरराजेन वैरानुकथनं प्रति ।।।।रामायावेदितं सर्वं प्रणयाद्दु:खितेन च ।
tato vānararājena vairānukathanaṃ prati | rāmāyāveditaṃ sarvaṃ praṇayād duḥkhitena ca ||
Thereafter the king of the vānara, sorrowful yet bound by affection, told Rāma the entire account of his enmity with Vālī.
Thereafter Sugriva, king of monkeys filled with sorrow narrated to Rama out of friendship the entire account of his hostilities (with Vali).
Satya within friendship: Sugrīva shares his painful truth to seek just resolution, showing that dharmic alliances depend on honest disclosure even when it is emotionally difficult.
With friendship established, Sugrīva explains to Rāma the background of his feud with Vālī.
