रामशय्यादर्शनम् — Bharata Beholds Rama’s Forest Bed
अभिषेक्ष्यन्ति काकुत्स्थमयोध्यायां द्विजातयः।अपि मे देवताः कुर्युरिमं सत्यं मनोरथम्।।।।
abhiṣekṣyanti kākutstham ayodhyāyāṃ dvijātayaḥ |
api me devatāḥ kuryur imaṃ satyaṃ manoratham ||
In Ayodhyā the twice-born will anoint the scion of the Kakutsthas; may the gods, in truth, fulfill this cherished wish of mine.
In Ayodhya the brahmins shall coronate Rama. Will the gods make this desire of mine true?
Legitimate rule aligned with satya: the wish is not mere power, but rightful consecration of the dharmic heir for the welfare of the realm.
Amid the exile crisis, the speaker longs for Rāma’s coronation and invokes divine support for that truthful outcome.
Reverence for rightful order and truth—seeking a just restoration rather than personal gain.
