भरद्वाजाश्रमप्राप्तिः — Arrival at Bharadvāja’s Hermitage and Counsel toward Citrakūṭa
ततस्त्वाश्रमासाद्य मुनेर्दर्शनकाङ्क्षिणौ।सीतयानुगतौ वीरौ दूरादेवावतस्थतुः।।।।
tatas tv āśramam āsādya muner darśanakāṅkṣiṇau | sītayānugatau vīrau dūrād evāvatasthatuḥ ||
Then, having reached the sage’s hermitage, the two heroes—followed by Sītā—stood at a distance, wishing for the seer’s audience.
Thereafter the two heroes followed by Sita arrived at the hermitage and, wishing to see the sage, waited at a distance.
Dharma includes reverence and restraint: approaching a sage with humility—waiting at a respectful distance—honors spiritual authority and proper conduct.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa arrive at a hermitage with Sītā and pause respectfully, seeking permission and audience with the resident sage.
Humility and discipline in social-spiritual etiquette, even amid personal hardship.
