द्वात्रिंशस्सर्गः — Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity

अगस्त्यं कौशिकं चैव तावुभौ ब्राह्मणोत्तमौ।अर्चयाहूय सौमित्रे रत्नैस्सस्यमिवाम्बुभिः।।।।

Transliteration

taṃ vipram agnyagārasthaṃ vanditvā lakṣmaṇo 'bravīt |

sakhe 'bhyāgaccha paśya tvaṃ veśma duṣkarakāriṇaḥ ||

Translation

Having bowed to that brahmin stationed in the fire-sanctuary, Lakṣmaṇa said: “Friend, come—behold the residence of Rāma, the doer of what is hard to accomplish.”

Context

O Lakshmana! invite Agastya and Kausika, the two celebrated brahmins, and bestow on them with reverence plenty of precious gems like showers of rain on standing crops.
