द्वात्रिंशस्सर्गः — Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity

तर्पयस्व महाबाहो गोसहस्रैश्च मानद।सुवर्णै रजतैश्चैव मणिभिश्च महाधनैः।।।।

Transliteration

agastyaṃ kauśikaṃ caiva tāv ubhau brāhmaṇottamau |

arcayāhūya saumitre ratnaiḥ sasyam ivāmbubhiḥ ||

Translation

O Saumitrī (Lakṣmaṇa), invite Agastya and Kauśika—those two foremost brahmins—and honor them, pouring forth precious gifts as rainwater nourishes standing crops.

Context

Satisfy them, O highly-armed Lakshmana, O bestower of honour! with a thousand cows, gold, silver and with the great wealth of gems.
