Having duly arranged the sacred fire through a noble, great-souled brahmin, she caused oblations to be offered according to rule, for the auspicious welfare of Rama.
After collecting the sacred fire through great brahmins she duly offered oblations to the gods for the welfare of Rama.
Dharma values doing sacred duties correctly (vidhi): careful ritual action is presented as a legitimate support for righteous living and protection.
The text describes Kausalya arranging a homa (fire-offering) via a priest to secure Rama’s auspicious welfare before exile.
Responsible piety—Kausalya does not merely grieve; she acts through sanctioned dharmic means for Rama’s good.
