सत्यपाशः — Kaikeyi’s Demand and the Noose of the King’s Promise

सुमन्त्रश्चिन्तयामास त्वरितं चोदितस्तया।।।।व्यक्तं रामोऽभिषेकार्थमिहायास्यति धर्मवित्।

sumantraś cintayāmāsa tvaritaṃ coditas tayā | vyaktaṃ rāmo ’bhiṣekārtham ihāyāsyati dharmavit ||

Urged on by her, Sumantra reflected: “Surely Rama—the knower of dharma—will come here for the purpose of consecration.”

Urged by Kaikeyi, Sumantra thought 'Righteous Rama will definitely come here for the purpose of installation'.
