Shloka 2.14.66

सत्यपाशः — Kaikeyi’s Demand and the Noose of the King’s Promise

इति सूतो मतिं कृत्वा हर्षेण महताऽऽवृतः।।।।निर्जगाम महाबाहो राघवस्य दिदृक्षया।

iti sūto matiṃ kṛtvā harṣeṇa mahatā ’vṛtaḥ | nirjagāma mahābāho rāghavasya didṛkṣayā ||

Having thus decided, the charioteer—overwhelmed with great joy—went out, eager to see Rāghava, the mighty-armed one.

So thought the charioteer and filled with great delight left (the inner apartment), eager to see the mightyarmed Rama.

Dharma is reflected as wholehearted execution of one’s role: Sumantra’s duty is performed with positive intent and respect toward Rama, the rightful focus of royal succession.

Sumantra leaves to bring Rama, delighted and eager to see him.

Sumantra’s reverence and loyal service; Rama’s stature is affirmed through the epithet “mighty-armed.”
