सत्यपाशः — Kaikeyi’s Demand and the Noose of the King’s Promise

स मन्यमानः कल्याणं हृदयेन ननन्द च।।।।निर्जगाम च सम्प्रीत्या त्वरितो राजशासनात्।

Transliteration

sa manyamānaḥ kalyāṇaṃ hṛdayena nananda ca | nirjagāma ca samprītyā tvarito rājaśāsanāt ||

Translation

Believing in his heart that an auspicious event was about to occur, he rejoiced; and, acting on the royal command, he set out at once with gladness.
