सत्यपाशः — Kaikeyi’s Demand and the Noose of the King’s Promise
सोमसूर्यौ च काकुत्स्थ शिववैश्रवणावपि।।।।वरुणश्चाग्निरिन्द्रश्च विजयं प्रदिशन्तु ते।
somasūryau ca kākutstha śivavaiśravaṇāv api |
varuṇaś cāgnir indraś ca vijayaṃ pradiśantu te ||
O scion of Kakutstha, may Soma and Sūrya, Śiva and Vaiśravaṇa, and Varuṇa, Agni, and Indra grant you victory.
O descendent of Kakutstha, may Moon and Sun, Siva and Kubera, Varuna, Agni and Indra bestow victory on you.
Dharma recognizes divine order supporting righteous rule: victory is sought not for conquest alone but for the protection of dharma through legitimate kingship.
