पादुकाभिषेकः — The Consecration of Rama’s Sandals and Bharata’s Trusteeship at Nandigrama
प्रहृष्टवदन स्सर्वा मातृ़ स्समभिवाद्य सः।आरुरोह रथं श्रीमान् शत्रुघ्नेन समन्वितः।।।।
prahṛṣṭavadanaḥ sarvā mātṝḥ samabhivādya saḥ |
ārurōha rathaṃ śrīmān śatrughnēna samanvitaḥ ||
With a radiant, joyful face, the illustrious Bharata bowed in reverence to all his mothers and then, accompanied by Śatrughna, mounted the chariot.
With a cheerful countenance illustrious Bharata paid obeisance to all his mothers and,acompanied by Satrughna, ascended the chariot.
Respect for elders and guardians—Bharata upholds dharma by formally honoring the mother-figures before undertaking action.
Bharata, after meeting and paying respects within the royal household, prepares to depart and mounts the chariot with Śatrughna.
Reverence and humility (vinaya), expressed through obeisance and proper conduct toward elders.
