Shloka 2.107.16
पितृवाक्यपालनम्, गयाश्रुति-उपदेशः, भरतस्य राज्यग्रहण-निर्देशः (Rama’s Counsel on Vows, the Gaya Śruti, and Bharata’s Return to Rule)
प्रवेक्ष्ये दण्डकारण्यमहमप्यविलम्बयन्।आभ्यान्तु सहितो राजन् वैदेह्या लक्ष्मणेन च।।2.107.16।।
daivāsure ca saṅgrāme jananyai tava pārthivaḥ | samprahṛṣṭo dadau rājā varam ārādhitaḥ prabhuḥ || 2.107.4 ||
And in the war between gods and demons, the lordly king—gratified by your mother—gladly granted her a boon.
O king (Bharata)! I shall also enter the Dandaka forest without delay in the company of only these two -- the princess from Videha (Sita) and Lakshmana.
Dharma includes gratitude and honoring commitments: the boon arises from recognized service, and once given becomes morally binding.
